The Sandwich Lions Club’s annual fall scrap metal collection will take place from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, Oct. 5, in the city parking lot across from Sandwich City Hall and east of the gazebo.

While cleaning out basements, garages and sheds, keep in mind that the Lions will accept any type of metal, including iron, aluminum, copper and brass. Metal items can include, but are not limited to, old lawn mowers, grills, aluminum windows and doors, gutters, siding, pipes, cast iron boilers, furnaces, stoves, washers, dryers and refrigerators. The Lions reserve the right to refuse any items they are unable to handle.

This is offered as a service to the community and a benefit for the Lions Club.

Pickup service can be arranged by calling Bob at 815-719-0079. This service is available throughout the year.
