DeKalb County Retired Teachers’ Association

Citizenship Information Night

5:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 11, at the Plano Community Library, 15 W. North St. Those who want to become an American citizen can learn about the citizenship application, exam eligibility, and possible obstacles. The presentation will be in Spanish and English. A free 10-session citizenship class will be offered if there is interest.

Open Roads ABATE Picnic Meeting

2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 31, at the home of Kevin and Patti Smith in Sandwich. Agenda items include legislature updates, new products, safety, summer books, rides, car show updates and new events. Stone Mill Museum Hours

1 to 4 p.m. Sundays at the Stone Mill Museum, 315 E. Railroad St. The museum is filled with local memorabilia, rooms with antique furniture, farm tools and items that were manufactured locally. Members of the Sandwich Historical Society act as guides. No admission; donations appreciated.

Cornerstone Church Food Pantry

After School Martial Arts Program

A Musical Afternoon

American Legion Fish Fries

The post will be closed Sept. 6 for the fair. The Sept. 13 special is Italian beef and Sicilian spaghetti and includes the salad bar.
