Book Sale

Through Saturday, Aug. 31, at the Plano Community Library, 15 W. North St. The sale will be in the meeting room during regular library hours. Beginning on Aug. 24 all items will be sold for $4 a bag. VHS tapes and audio cassettes will be free throughout the sale.

Worship in the Park

10 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 18, in Lathrop Park, 100 N. James St. Congregation members from area churches will join together for a time of prayer, praise, song and fellowship. Bring a lawn chair or blanket. Back to School BASH

Abe St. Plano students in grades pre-K through 12 and their families will gather in Reaper Stadium for Purple and White Night with football, soccer and volleyball scrimmages beginning at 5 p.m. There will be concessions, music and giveaways from community organizations.
