American Legion names Rider of the Year

American Legion Rider Post 181 Director Bob Lawrence and membership chairman Sandy Lawrence from Sandwich ALR attended the 101st American Legion Department Convention. They attended the ALR RIDERS meeting Friday. It was decided that a Facebook page be started so that ALR groups could post events and information to each other. The page is American Legion Riders Department of Illinois. On Saturday, Lawrence was presented the Terry L. Woodburn American Legion Rider of the Year Award. Every year, one Legion Rider from the state of Illinois is selected for this award.
