5:15 p.m. reception, 6 p.m. dinner Tuesday, July 16, at Grandma’s Table Restaurant, 1700 Douglas Road. Dinner includes a choice of three entrées (fish, chicken or beef), soup or salad, dinner rolls, vegetables, dessert and nonalcoholic drink. Cost is $20. A lower-cost salad entrée can be purchased for $12. The speaker will be retired U.S. Navy Captain Leonard Wass, an Aurora Council board member. He will deliver the second of a two-part series on the Holocaust in World War II.

New Life for Old Bags

10:30 a.m. to noon the second Saturday of each month – next, July 13 – at the Plano Community Library, 15 W. North St. Volunteers turn discarded plastic shopping bags into plastic yarn to be crocheted into sleeping mats for the homeless. Donations of plastic bags can be left at the library. Line Dancing and Lessons

Blood Drive
