5:15 p.m. reception, 6 p.m. dinner Tuesday, June 18, at Grandma’s Table Restaurant, 1700 Douglas Road. Dinner includes a choice of three entrées (fish, chicken or beef), soup or salad, dinner rolls, vegetables, dessert and nonalcoholic drink. Cost is $20. A lower cost salad entrée can be purchased for $12. The speaker will be retired U.S. Navy Captain Leonard Wass, an Aurora Council board member. He will deliver the first of a two-part series on the Holocaust in World War II.

Girl Reporter: Tracing the Role of Women at the Chicago Tribune

St. Paul’s Parish Fest

4 to 8 p.m. Saturday, June 22, at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, 340 W. Arnold St. After Mass at 4 p.m., a catered dinner of fried chicken, hot dogs, carnitas, side dishes and desserts will be served at 5 p.m., followed by face painting, balloons, games and a bounce house. The June 21 special is chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes, gravy and vegetables, and includes the salad bar.

Kendall County Salute to Veterans
