Open Door receives donation through 'Give DeKalb County'

Open Door Program Coordinator Laurie Wisdom (right) recently received a check from Ben Bingle, director of the DeKalb County Nonprofit Partnership, a program of the DeKalb County Community Foundation. The funds were raised through participation in “Give DeKalb County," a 24-hour fundraising event. Open Door will use the donation toward their new learning and resource center, designed to provide space for technology use, group learning activities, reading and socialization. For information on how you can make an impact and enrich the lives of adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, visit odrc.org or call 815-786-8468 for a tour.
