Car, Truck and Bike Show

New Life for Old Bags

10:30 a.m. to noon the second Saturday of each month – next, June 8 – at the Plano Community Library, 15 W. North St. Volunteers turn discarded plastic shopping bags into plastic yarn to be crocheted into sleeping mats for the homeless. Donations of plastic bags can be left at the library. Walking “The Way” (El Camino)

6:30 to 8 p.m. Monday, June 10, at the Plano Community Library, 15 W. North St. Take a pilgrimage down a 1,000-year-old path with local doctor Tess Grant and learn something you never thought possible. The accompanying slide presentation brings Grant’s experiences alive.

Good Morning & Good Night Yoga
10:45 to 11:15 a.m. and 6:30 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, June 11, at the Plano Community Library, 15 W. North St. Explore yoga in a kid-friendly environment. Scitech Wind Tunnel

2 to 4 p.m. Wednesday, June 12, at the Plano Community Library, 15 W. North St. SciTech will bring out the NASA-inspired vertical wind tunnel and participants can experiment with creating their own flying machine. Open to all ages. North St. The Illinois State Treasurer’s Office connects people with their cash and other assets through the I-Cash program.  Stop by the library to meet with a representative who will conduct a search for you. Cornerstone Church Food Pantry

Kendall County Salute to Veterans
