New Life for Old Bags

10:30 a.m. to noon the second Saturday of each month – next, June 8 – at the Plano Community Library, 15 W. North St. Volunteers turn discarded plastic shopping bags into plastic yarn to be crocheted into sleeping mats for the homeless. Donations of plastic bags can be left at the library. The Recycling Hour

Noon to 1 p.m. the fourth Saturday of the month – next, May 25 – at the Sandwich Public Library, 925 S. Main St. The library will recycle items such as plastic bags, ink cartridges, batteries and more.

Fourth Tuesday Community Feast

ALR Meeting

Swing Dance

Cornerstone Church Food Pantry

Adult Craft Night

7 p.m. the first Tuesday of each month – next, June 4 – at the Sandwich Public Library, 925 S. Main St. This month the group will make upcycled glass flower vases. Materials will be provided. “Dairies to Prairies” documentary

2 p.m. Friday, June 7, at the Sandwich Public Library, 925 S. Main St. Film accompanies exhibit project from the Elgin History Museum that runs May 6-June 12. The project connects new homeowners to the history of the land, while remembering Elgin’s dairy heritage.

Chess Club

Ageless Grace Summer Series

Main St. Ageless Grace is a brain fitness program that teaches 21 exercises designed to maintain strong functionality for both physical and mental health.
