Easter Egg Hunt

12:30 to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 13, at Millington United Methodist Church, 200 Orleans St. There will be a visit from the Easter Bunny, games, crafts, coloring and more. Hot dogs, chips and drinks will be served. Bring cookies to share or an item for the food pantry. Also bring a basket for hunting eggs.

5:15 p.m. reception, 6 p.m. dinner Tuesday, April 16, at Grandma’s Table Restaurant, 1700 Douglas Road. Dinner includes a choice of three entrées (fish, chicken or beef), soup or salad, dinner rolls, vegetables, dessert and nonalcoholic drink. Cost is $20. A lower cost salad entrée can be purchased for $12. Kasia Wereszczynska, co-founder and clinical director of Counseling Speaks LLC, will present “Reducing Deadly School Violence.”

New Life for Old Bags

10:30 a.m. to noon the second Saturday of each month – next, April 13 – at the Plano Community Library, 15 W. North St. Volunteers turn discarded plastic shopping bags into plastic yarn to be crocheted into sleeping mats for the homeless. Donations of plastic bags can be left at the library. Spring Egg Hunt

9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 13, at Knights Park, 1001 N. Latham St. The Sandwich Park District will host this free event for children ages 12 and younger. Bring a basket and dress for the weather.

Cornerstone Church Food Pantry
