Retirement celebration planned for longtime leader Davis

University of Illinois Extension will celebrate County Director Sandra I. Davis of Newark at a retirement open house on Friday, Jan. 25, from 4 to 7 p.m. in Yorkville.

Davis – who currently serves as the county director for DuPage, Kane and Kendall counties – will retire at the end of the month from her 48-year career with Extension. She also is an award-winning educator and author with Extension, a 4-H alumnus, a past 4-H Club Leader, and a lifelong resident of the Kendall/LaSalle area. She received both her master of science and a bachelor of science in education from Northern Illinois University.

Extension invites residents, community partners, program participants and others who want to wish Sandra Davis well to join the Jan. 25 celebration.
