The Sandwich Historical Society is inviting the public to a free Christmas open house at the Stone Mill Museum from 4:30 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1. Apple cider, coffee and cookies will be served. During the open house, an old-time atmosphere will be highlighted throughout the museum. In the “parlor” on the first floor, there will be an old-fashioned table-top Christmas tree decorated with candles in small candle holders and tiny antique ornaments. In addition, there will be four gift baskets given as door prizes. Three are wine baskets that also contain items such as wine glasses, crackers and cheese. A fourth basket (pictured) will contain gift cards that have a total value of $95. Persons must attend the open house in order to be eligible. The drawing will be held at the end of the evening, and winners will be contacted.
