Indian Valley Community Band will present its 27th annual winter concert at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 25, at the historic Opera House in Sandwich.

The concert is the unofficial kickoff for the Franklin Mall Christmas Project food drive. There is no admission charge, but nonperishable items, canned goods or monetary donations will be accepted at the door. Under the guidance of new director Jeff Ford, the performance will feature a variety of concert and holiday music. The whole family is welcome to attend the program, which includes a unique "kitchen band instruments” musical number.

Indian Valley Community Band is composed of musicians of various ages from more than a dozen surrounding communities, and has been entertaining audiences since 1986.

Concertgoers will be treated to a punch and cookie reception after the musical performance. If you have questions or would like more information about IVCB’s winter concert, phone 815-786-6752 and leave a message.
