HCE workshop on Victorian vases set for Oct. 23

Kendall County Association for Home and Community Education will host a workshop to make Victorian vases from 9 a.m. to noon Tuesday, Oct. 23.

Sue Spencer of Yorkville will teach the class. There is no charge, but donations to the Kendall County Food Pantry would be appreciated.

Attendees should bring scissors and a clear glass vase that you can get your hand into. All other supplies will be available.

Registration is not necessary, but would be appreciated by calling the Kendall County University of Illinois Extension office at 630-553-5823. The class will be held at the Extension office on Route 47 south of Route 71 in Yorkville.

This class is part of the Kendall County HCE activities for “October is HCE Month.” One other event is the 20th HCE Victorian Tea on Sunday, Oct. 14. A few reservations are still available. Call Beverly at 630-554-1530.
