The Sandwich Lions Club has announced the winners of the annual steer raffle. Winning raffle tickets were drawn at the close of the Sandwich Fair.

The Black Angus steer plus processing was won by William Wollek of Chicago. Jim Smith of Joliet won the second prize of a $200 gift certificate, and third prize of a $100 gift certificate was won by Sue Brown of Romeoville. The steer was raised by Amber Pigott of Esmond.

The Sandwich Lions Club has conducted the annual steer raffle for more than 50 years. It is the club’s largest fundraiser each year. Through the support of the community year after year, the Lions are able to help throughout the community and beyond with such services as eyeglasses and vision exams for children and adults in need, and contributions to Open Door Rehabilitation Center and Fox Valley Older Adult Services.
