Stone Mill Museum opens April 8

The Stone Mill Museum in Sandwich will be open from 1 to 4 p.m. Sundays starting April 8. The museum, located at 315 E. Railroad St., across from the Sandwich Fire Station, is operated by the Sandwich Historical Society and has displays on all four floors of the structure. There are home and store settings on the main floor, as well as industrial displays. Native American exhibits are displayed in the basement and the second and third floors feature military displays, antique agricultural equipment, early homemaker appliances and other items. There is no admission charge, however donations are appreciated. Books of local interest are available for sale and members of the Sandwich Historical Society act as hosts and guides.
