Friday Matinée

1 p.m. Friday, March 16, at the Charles B. Phillips Library, 6 N. Jackson St. “Breathe,” rated PG-13, is based on a true story of a man who becomes paralyzed from polio at a young age, which leads him to become an advocate for the disabled. Popcorn and refreshments provided.

New Life for Old Bags

10:30 a.m. to noon the second Saturday of each month – next, March 10 – at the Plano Community Library, 15 W. North St. Volunteers turn discarded plastic shopping bags into plastic yarn to be crocheted into sleeping mats for the homeless. Donations of plastic bags can be left at the library. Indoor Fishing Flea Market

E-Waste Collection
