The Plano Legion Post 395 Sons of the American Legion holds an all-you-can-eat breakfast buffet on the third Sunday of the month to raise funds for local veterans and their families.

On Sunday, Feb. 19, the Sons will have a special guest at their breakfast. Sandwich High School senior A.J. Torres, a World War II re-enactor, will be on hand seeking to raise funds to send him to “Operation Cobra Breakout” in Normandy, France, in July of this year. “Operation Cobra Breakout” is an international gathering of WWII re-enactors that will be held to re-create the Allies' attempt to break out of the Normandy bridgehead established after D-Day in June of 1944.

The public is invited to meet A.J. and enjoy the Sons' Breakfast Buffet from 8 to 11 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 19. The breakfast will be served at the American Legion Post, 510 E. Dearborn St., Plano. Adult tickets are $8; tickets for children younger than 11 are $5. Offerings include scrambled eggs, potatoes, bacon, sausage, pancakes and made-to-order omelets.

Enjoy an affordable all-you-can-eat breakfast buffet, and meet and talk to A.J. while helping the Sons of the American Legion raise funds to support local veterans.
