The Congregational Care Team from the United Methodist Church of Plano had a Christmas sale Nov. 23 that featured a variety of Christmas decorations including snowmen, Santas, ornaments and lights. The goal of the event was to raise funds for the “Save the Windows” campaign. More than $1,000 was raised.

The “Save the Windows” campaign is raising funds for the church’s three stained glass windows, which are showing signs of deterioration. As the church gathers resources and works to write grants, the community is invited to help preserve these town treasures. Donations can be sent to the church office at 219 N. Hale Street in Plano or visit the GoFund Me page. The goal is to have the funds raised and the windows completed by September 2021 as the church celebrates its 165th anniversary.
