Take part in Kendall County New Year’s Day hike

This year's event in memory of Del LaGow set for Lyon Farm and Village

The annual New Year’s Day hike in memory of founder Del LaGow will take place at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, Jan. 1, at Lyon Farm and Village, 7935 Route 71 in Yorkville.

Attendees will meet at the parking lot under the concession awning.

The hike will last about 60 to 90 minutes. Be prepared to learn about and look for wildlife and edible plants and identify native plants.

Dress appropriately for the weather and for hiking.

Admission is three cans of soup. One can is for the soup pot for lunch and the other two cans will be donated to the Kendall County Community Food Pantry.
