Fines for Food
Through November at the Plano Community Library, 15 W. North St. Pay your fines by making a donation (minimum $1) to the Plano Rockin’ Christmas program, which distributes food boxes to local families in need. The funds will be used to purchase perishable food items such as meat, produce, milk and butter.

Visit with Santa
5:30 to 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 6, at the Plano Community Library, 15 W. North St. The Chamber of Commerce will host this event as part of the Plano Rockin’ Christmas festivities. Parents should bring a camera to take their child’s picture with Santa. Numbers will be passed out to hold your place in line, but the wait may be long.

and Candy Walk

Holiday Food Drive
Through Dec. 16 at the Sandwich Public Library, 925 S. Main St. The library is collecting donations for the Franklin Mall Christmas Project. Sponsored by the Sandwich Lions Club, the program collects food for families within the Sandwich School system. Holiday Treasures Bake Sale

There also will be raffle baskets in the hospital’s main lobby. Tickets are available in the Unique Boutique Gift Shop for $1 each or six for $5. Winners will be drawn Dec. 6.
