Fines for Food

Through November at the Plano Community Library, 15 W. North St. Pay your fines by making a donation (minimum $1) to the Plano Rockin’ Christmas program, which distributes food boxes to local families in need. The funds will be used to purchase perishable food items such as meat, produce, milk and butter.

Breakfast Buffet

8 to 11 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 17, at the Plano American Legion Post 395, 510 E. Dearborn St. Sons of the American Legion will serve the all-you-can-eat breakfast buffet featuring scrambled eggs, egg casserole, potatoes, bacon, sausage, biscuits and gravy, pancakes, waffles, made-to-order omelets and more. Cost is $8 for adults, $5 for ages 11 and younger.

Holiday Food Drive

Through Dec. 16 at the Sandwich Public Library, 925 S. Main St. The library is collecting donations for the Franklin Mall Christmas Project.
