Grant-seeker workshop planned for December

The DeKalb County Community Foundation exists to enhance the quality of life in DeKalb County, by proactively addressing community needs and expanding, managing and distributing philanthropic resources.
The DeKalb County Community Foundation exists to enhance the quality of life in DeKalb County, by proactively addressing community needs and expanding, managing and distributing philanthropic resources.

Nonprofit and charitable organizations interested in applying for a grant from the DeKalb County Community Foundation are invited to a free workshop from 9 to 11 a.m. Dec. 10.

The workshop is open to the public and will take place in The Freight Room at the Community Foundation, 475 DeKalb Ave., Sycamore.

Attendees are encouraged to RSVP by Nov. 29 to 815-748-5383 or tiffany@dekalbccf.org.

Attendees will learn tips and strategies to increase their chances of receiving funding from the foundation’s various grant programs, as well as hear some exciting new initiatives.

Attendees will leave with a better understanding of the Community Foundation including grant programs, fund types, community initiatives and how they all work together to benefit the community.

The workshop is led by foundation staff and will provide ample time for questions.
