The Tri County Kiwanis have launched their ninth annual coat drive, which will run through Nov. 15.
The club is seeking any new or gently used coats, hats, gloves, mittens, scarfs and blankets. While all of the items find a grateful recipient, the greatest needs are children’s coats, especially for ages 6 to 13. If your child has outgrown a coat from last season, keep them in mind.
Drop-off boxes will be at Art’s Supermarket, First National Bank, Heartland Bank, (Somonauk, Sandwich and Gletty Road), Midland States Bank (Sandwich and Plano), Country Companies Insurance (Kathy Martin) Dr. Mark Weinhold’s dentist office, Rural King, RKA Gun Gallery in Plano and Sandwich Park District Office. The club serves the Somonauk Plano and Sandwich communities. It is open to anyone who would like to help improve the community.
